Village Hall

Upton Magna Memorial Hall is managed by a Committee and is separate from the Parish Council.
The hall is a lovely venue that has been completely refurbished to meet current regulations and standards, with help from the National Lottery Community Fund. It can be hired by the public for any activity or event, such as parties, weddings, meetings and talks and the hire rates are very competitive. It has an Entertainment Licence for up to 150 people extending to 11.30pm and a licensed bar that can be booked for functions.

The accommodation is on one floor and has disabled access from the car park. There is an adjacent field that can be used for marquees and caravans.
Incidentally, this is the second village hall to stand on the site. The first building was of timber construction and destroyed by fire when a wedding breakfast had been prepared and left unattended! A new hall was erected in 1928 with funds from the Sundorne Estate and as a memorial to those in the village who were killed in the First World War.
